To meet the rising demand for beef farmers have to raise more cows, which is difficult and costly; but to meet the demand for a video game developers just need to print more copies which is trivial and cheap.
Newer game cut on manufacturing. No disk, no plastic casing, no needing to print a 20 page full color instruction booklet, no paying a quality control team, and no need for a marketing budget because a single intern can spam the entire internet.
The market is saturated and creatively stagnant. There's too many games and entertainment options competing with new games. Also games are digital now, how the fuck do you justify paying $70 for a digital product? Only numale fanboys pay full release prices.
