It's good, but it tends to get overrated because it's an entry in a genre that gets releases once a decade.

It is kino for the fact that it's refreshing. It's refreshing. There's no real bloat or woke cancer. There's moments of both, but overall it's a fun scifi game. It's not that the bar is lowered, it's just a good game. The kino comes from exploring the station and having fun with all the new areas and figuring them out.

I want a 2 so bad but I think the studio is largely dying. 2 should be you're on a moon base but it's largely civilian because space station tech is largely commercialized now. Families on vacation type stuff. It takes place DURING the Typhon escape. The moon base you're on also has a military/blackops secret underground. Just like 1 the fun is exploring the breadth of the facility and seeing how all the cool areas intertwine and going through them to fulfill your objectives. Just have it that some Typhon escaped Talos for a couple weeks and when they sensed Talos went ass up it caused this moonbase to also zerg out. Whatever 2 would be, the fun is that you're not in a totally post-apoc zone. You have to be in something recently derelict or trying to stave off the Typhon to make the immersive sim aspects pop.

I like Prey a lot and would highly recommend it but come on, anon. There is a MASSIVE chunk of audio logs in the dorms about the lesbian romance between the security girl and her tabletop gamer girlfriend.

It offers a good variety of playstyles, although, because of that, they can't really lock anything out based on playstyle. The player RPG elements are lacking compared to the Deus Ex series. I didn't think the character writing was anything to write home about. The ending nullifies everything you've done across the majority of the story (moreso than any TellTale game or Mass Effect 3), and fans of the game refuse to acknowledge that. The guns are fine. The powers are interesting, although, like Dishonored, it punishes you for investing too much into the fun ones.

It's fine. Get it on a discount.

>it punishes you for investing too much into the fun ones.

Eh, the penalties for that are just you have to be mindful of the turrets and sneak up on them to either deactivate or hack them.

It's the best game of the last decade

Not overrated at all. All the other ones being released since Bioshock were getting largely simplified in a lot of ways. Infinite itself just turned into a fucking corridor shooter. Prey felt like a proper continuation of the lineage from System Shock 2 and Deus Ex.

I agree the game is fun, but there's a point in the crew quarters where two middle aged scientist lesbians have multiple audio logs where they flirt and discuss their relationship. And those audio logs are mandatory because you need to splice one of the girls' voices to say a password to progress with the game. It's really gay and lame and the interactions in those audio logs will make you want to roll your eyes at how fucking gay and lame their conversations are.

The only typhon power I got was one level of mimic.

I stopped a campaign halfway through years ago and I forgot all the shit I was doing. is Mooncrash ok to jump into standalone?
Anonymous No.718984946
>>718982396
The audio logs are optional, the only one you need to find is the one in the freezer, then you can just get the voice sample and password from Danielle herself.

Mooncrash is what deathloop should have been. So awesome putting together the path in your head of which order to do things as which people and then successfully executing your plan.

It's worse than pretty much every imsim before it.
It's better than 90% of modern AAA slop.
