13-1 is insipidly linear. The multiplat announcement forced them to rework the game and cut a fuckton of content. The story's alright but there's barely even any sidepaths to get a treasure let alone complex dungeons before near the endgame
13-2 addresses nearly everything bad about 13-1 and fixes it. Sidequests, proper exploration, etc. The time travel plotline enabled them to structure the game with multiple routes, backtracking, and a brilliant story whose details unfold in a nonlinear fashion
13-3 I haven't played it but I understand it's a hack and slash with lots of costumes
