Look I understand why he did what he did for most of the game. I mean specifically the bike portion at the end (pic related). Volgin is defeated, he already knows Ocelot is a spy, Shagohod is on the run, Snake and Eva are after it to save the world. So why the fuck does Ocelot INSIST in tryharding and chasing after them?

The only theory I could come up with is he is playing 4D chess with Eva.

It was the fact that no matter how hard he tried he knew he would fail because Snake was just that much better then him.

That's why he did the whole one bullet in the gun thing to judge a person, if luck was on their side it didnt fire, and even when Snake jumped from the cliff into the river Occelot would have missed the shot because he still had one more chamber to fire.

He wasnt holding back because he knew Snake could take it, and in the end Snake still won out.

Same with the Boss, people keep trying to claim she let him kill her, no, Snake finally surpassed her.

For the same reason The Boss threw Snake into the ravine at the very start nearly killing him, and hoped he would survive it.

You fucking asshole, it pretty much shows you from minute one. They are trying to kill eachother, there is no punches being pulled, its like a boxer fighting another boxer and there is no chance of beating them, they know it, but they still box.

Boss throws Snake into the ravine because she has to prove her loyalty to the Cobra unit. And it's either that or let the other Cobras handle him in a far more lethal way. This can be interpreted as the reason why Ocelot attacks Snake thorough the game, he is fulfilling his duty and taking the heat off Snake simultaneously.

And at the final cutscene Ocelot implies he did his job perfectly and assisted Snake to the best of his ability. But he clearly did not do that at the most important moment which was chasing the Shagohod. He allowed Snake to escape with a Chinese agent that could have killed him during his sleep.

his actions in the bike scene were weird and most of it was rule of cool, you're not supposed to think too much about it, this is a kojima game it's not one piece you don't have to read between every single line

but with that said it's a weird fucking situation he was in. his #1 goal was securing the philosophers legacy and his main enemy by that point was EVA, meanwhile snake was fully in bed with her and riding away with her on a bike, and then there's also the fact that ocelot wanted to be the guy that defeated snake, so combining these two situations I don't think attacking eva/snake is that unreasonable

He wasn't. His mission was to help Snake but he's also a double agent for KGB so he had to act as if he's trying to kill him

He wasn't, he was trying to capture snake to make it easier for him to infiltrate graznygrad, he was trying to kill EVA because he knew she was a chinese spy

Miller and Big Boss’s story is even more retarded and gay

i assume they were going for a younger version of his "mgs2/4" design instead of the complete different face from the original MGS3.

It looks weird cuz, for some reason, the remake cannot portray blonde/thin hair properly. Ocelot, Eva and Boss got really thick and darker eyebrows for whatever reason, something that mgsv/mgs3 pachinko had no trouble with
