What do you mean? Why do you assume I hate it? I like it, but it's also overdrawn, and because they rely on the IP so much, it dilutes the impact it historically had. It is *because* I like it so much that I want them to put everything they have in a final finale. A grand sendoff never before seen in a JRPG, or even any RPG ever.

Strangely enough they're doing that while the Octopath gacha is still going, to the point they could probably make an Octopath 0-2 by the time it's done.

Apparently they are readapting the first arc and adding new storylines and changes, no reason not to do that with the first season of Exvius at least.
The problem with SE and namco is that their gachas feel more like offline games forced to be gachas. Tales of Cretoria deserved an offline version instead of just killing it like that
Even Capcom brought MegaMan dive as non gacha instead
