I still have old games which were under 5GB on my drives, and they are better than the slop made today. Look up abandonware websites, most games there are probably superior to anything you can buy today and are much smaller.

Okay, actually try it. Tell me how long you get. Steam uses expiring tokens to validate games. The reason they took the countdown off the offline page is because THAT countdown has NOTHING to do with when you need to sign back in. What matters is the signed timestamp PER GAME which Valve are too lazy to do anything about. They could make offline mode simply refresh all installed games at once and say "you have 120days" but they don't. If you haven't played a game in months, chances are its token is about to expire and offline mode doesn't change that. It'll expire tomorrow, you'll be angry that offline mode said you had 30 days, you'll complain, valve will proceed to not give a shit as usual.
