Playing some RPGmaker porn VN and then suddenly insanely bullshit jank driving minigame out of nowhere, beating it took all I had but it's one of my greatest accomplishments

I was a small kid playing some first person shooter on a family member's pc and for some reason turning around and seeing a giant scorpion scared the shit out of me more than any actual horror shit

i play ff7 and aerith died :(

Playing Chrono Cross expecting it to be a sequel to Chrono Trigger and instead slowly coming to the realization that it was a vandalization of it that ended up being so bad it killed any hope of ever getting another game to progress the story.

Kind of a slow creep rather than a single event, but I regularly played Red Orchestra 2 on a particular server for several years, often topping the score board and attempting to participate in the text chat at least, but no one ever acknowledged my existence in any way, and there were a lot of regulars in there who had formed their little clique. It was the kind of thing where someone would do something and the chat would explode with hahas or amazement or whatever, but nothing I ever did ever got any kind of response. Kind of got me out of attempting to engage with anyone online eventually. I just turn any chat there is in a game off these days.

Playing Sekiro and realizing its all just fucking parrying and my normie friends who don't play actual real god-damn action games were obviously wrong about it being the best.

Test chamber with a cube sized square hole. You are suppose to shoot a portal through it simply enough and bring the cube to the other side. I spent 5 hours 'solving' this puzzle by slowly jimmying the cube through the hole. It landed and rolled back into the fizzler and I spent another 2 hours doing it again successfully that time. I'm normally good at puzzles and critical thinking but my retarded ass just didn't out the obvious together. It was grating as fuck.

Turned on the N64 to play Majora's Mask while my college friends were outside smoking. We'd sit around drinking and taking turns playing. Found that our savefile was gone, I was back in the starting area with an inventory filled with ocarinas, and touching anything was an instant death. Ben Drowned was pretty recent at this point, so while today the story is considered kinda lame, at the time it was fresh and this freaked me the fuck out. Forced my friends to come back inside to make sure I wasn't hallucinating.
Turns out it was an obscure glitch caused by a tilted cartridge.

Trying to play ranked in a moba. It destroyed whatever human spirit I had inside of me. I am now a dark machine bent on destruction.
