It hasn't, it's cyclic. It'll comeback in 5 years or so when they decide to properly work on a game

Call of Duty burned too many bridges since MW19, now it feels like a parody of a game.

They started competing with Fortnite for the middle schooler demographic. That pretty much killed the game. Whoever decided on wacky, zany skins being introduced into a military shooter needs to be fired out of a cannon into the sun. Just makes it all the easier to never touch this trash series again. Hopefully Battlefield eats their lunch, they deserve it

You don't want to see Cody Rhodes hitting the Cross Rhodes on Homelander in your military shooter?

Its unironcially a funny execute animation, but yeah it looks so bad in a game that was advertised as serious at one point.

CoD is a high production value shooter with great gameplay, and now basically free on gamepass. People hate on it because it's popular. I always have fun with cod campaings.

>People hate on it because it's popular
People hate it because it's unbelievably low effort microtransaction-riddled trash compared to actually high effort series entries like MW19. It acts like a free-to-play game, even though you paid full price for it. Constantly hustling you to buy the battle pass after every game. Using dark patterns to get you to accidentally press the buy button. It treats its players like they are low IQ neanderthals and after a while you realize, if you keep voluntarily playing it, maybe you really are a low IQ neanderthal
