The problem is that it undermines the creative freedom translators have previously had to alter scripts. Now major personality traits and speech mannerisms have to be treated the same as their Japanese counterparts, which disallows teams from writing new stories more befitting a Western audience.

This website has been on a crusade against localizers, it has finally gotten results and oldfags now realize its not what they wanted, but anti localizer newfags have no reverence old anime culture which relied on quality translations that accounted for nuances that a literal translation miss.
Most of the anti localizerfags on this website werent even born/cognisant when Trials in the sky was released. Woke localizers were bad were bad, but extreme reaction has lead to an over-correction and now we are left with lifeless literal translations.

What question? In JP he uses 答えを返す but they removed they removed 彼が掛けた問いに, so it doesn't even work. They clearly had the raw translation and just edited out the shit that didn't flow well and replaced it with with villainous sounding phrases. If you're going to rewrite the script rewrite the whole thing so it's cohesive.
ご覧ください is not "As was your will". This one is self explanatory.
There's more like the "Her Faithful " or "The man I was would weep" ect but there's not much point explaining all of it. It's pretty blatant, If you don't care about translation being good than you don't care. The script could be entirely made it(which it is case in FF14) but you'd defend it anyway.
