Nintendo isn't overcharging, you're just greedy.
>Oh nooes, I need to pay $80 for AAA video game ;((
Uh, yeah? You've probably paid $10 for a coffee or two today.
Mario Kart World will last you years. How long does a coffee last?

Also, inflation. Companies SHOULD demand more money.
You've paid $60 in 1995. You know what $60 were worth in 1995? WAY more than $80 today.
Every other good has become more expensive, don't act entitled and let this one adjust to the inflation, too.

The people who bitch and moan about this are mostly falseflaggers. They are Nintendo haters in disguise. Don't believe their lies.

>Also, inflation
Technology is cheaper than ever, though, so inflation doesn't apply here. Unless you can explain why Nintendo charges $80 for a video game using modern premade engines and cheap technological workstations when Chris Sawyer made Rollercoaster Tycoon on a $6000 PC in assembly code before selling it at $30, noting that it still hasn't been beaten in it's own genre.

The value of the American dollar has dropped to nearly 50% of its value since 1995. If you earn 50,000 dollars in 2025, that's the equivalent of earning roughly 25,000 in 1995.

Fuck you I'll wait for a sale, or I simply shan't participate.

I did pay $10 for coffee today. But not for a cup of coffee. For coffee grounds so I can drink coffee every day for like a month at least. Mario Kart won't even outlast my coffee.

Retard
Games were rarely worth $60, and Nintendo are megajews who can fuck right off with their shitty business practices. There are still retards who will buy their product, but they're losing all good will so the second they slip (like another Wii U), they'll fall. Hard.

>whining about inflation
>thinking in this day and age where gamers across all platforms DON'T eclipse gamers of yesteryear
>false equivalencies
>bullshit rhetoric

For every game bought in 1995, there will be 30-70 people buying a game today. If something sold over 1 million copies in 1995, it was not just seen as a huge success, it was a STAGGERINGLY phenomenal success. One that the history books would align with any $100million production-value game releasing today and grossing over $1.5bn in not just sales but battlepasses, skins, weapon cosmetics, and other bullshit.

AND a $60 game back in 1995 was almost prohibitively expensive. A $60 game today is, as you made an equivalence to, a few cups of coffee.

When a publisher/developer can rake in that much money simply because the audience is an ORDER OF MAGNITUDE larger, the price very much should stay the same seeing as the 'value' of a game increases, allowing even further avenues for spending for all of the above after the initial sale of the game.

So, no, you fucking mouth-breathing, room-IQ, waste-of-resources from fucking Indian shill. No game should cost more than $60 once you consider all of the above facts, unless that is as I've already assumed you're just a shill.

Do the world a favor and go outside your 3rd world cubicle in a bodega where you earn a measly $0.06 per post and go shit in the streets. That's the only place where your opinion belongs and might be of value.

I'll accept your coffee cup analogy when you come up with an equivalent for cash grab (re-)releases and microtransactions.

>You've paid $60 in 1995.
Rarely. There was a huge rental scene for a reason, because most games were not worth that asking price especially if you were only going to play it for a day or two.

Fun fact: Nintendo helped outlaw game rentals in Japan.
