It was the year of BW's release, only Gen 5 mons were allowed, and she has Shadow Tag, and I believe that was before the Shadow Tag nerf.

It has high attack and good enough HP. Guts+flame orb blocks other statuses. Good prio damage from mach punch, healing from drain punch, then knock off and ice punch are good complements to fighting offensively. Or wide guard is good if spread attacks are everywhere. It's just all around good, but Iron Hands kinda took its spot I think. Haven't kept up with SV VGC to say.
