i downloaded spider man 2 for pc thinking it would be the same game as i played on consoles back on the og xbox/ps2 but its a completely different game. i was so disappointed

Must play. It has one of the best combat systems I've ever seen in any video game, just pure freedom in how you move. Also the story is original about Venom infecting the city with Symbiote and it's pretty cool. Lot of Marvel cameos like Moon Knight and shit with a Mass Effect moral choice system too

It's okay, four multiverse Spider-Men (Amazing, Noir, 2099, Ultimate) come together to stop a bad guy (Don't really remember the plot) and each one has their own level design and play style (Noir is stealth, Amazing is beat em up, Ultimate is small scale sandbox, etc). I don't remember a lot from it but I had a good time back then

Never played, have heard decent things. It's a sequel to Shattered Dimensions but with just Amazing and 2099.

TASM 2 was the first game i ever played on my PS4 and even though its not as good as some other spidey games its still decent and heavily overrhated just because its 'le andrew garfield spidey' and most things associated with his two movies gets shit on relentlessly.

best Spidey game ever, there's mods for the Dolphin version to play it at 4k with high res textures and custom suits. The ragdolls were pure joy in 2004 and they're still fun today. Best swinging physics obviously.

i enjoyed the ps1 games, and then the first open world game was fucking amazing, and then ultimate spiderman was the coolest shit because of venom
then i tried whatever that other spiderman game was and it killed my interest in the franchise forever

most of the games are fucked up for one reason or another. I laughed my ass off playing Web of Shadows so it's definitely worth while if you like goofy shit games but the moon swinging ruins traversal for me. Wall combat was super dope and I don't know why no other games explored that concept.
I also like the first insomniac game and to a lesser degree Miles Morales game, but SM2 was a huge letdown all around.

Holy shit this just unlocked a dormant part of my brain

Every time thugs spawned on top of a skyscraper I threw them off, one by one, until they were all gone. No matter how long it took. Just throwing those cunts as far out from as high up as possible.

It was nice they gave you the freedom to do that despite Spidey being a No Kill hero. You try that shit in Arkham City and invisible walls keep the thugs from falling off rooftops because they just gotta have Batwank's hands clean.

Web of Shadows is so over the top it’s awesome. The anime 100 punch combo move the red suit had was hilarious. Tricia Helfer as Black Cat. Giving Wolverine such an ass whooping it can turn him evil. Fighting the gangs AND the feds. What a game.

If you didn't tear Wolverine in half in Web of Shadows you didn't beat the game.
