Does it really need a remake?

I was browsing Gamefags and Reddit looking for info on an old SNES game that got a remake and it was depressing seeing everyone lap it up and ask for more remakes, it's like to them if a game doesn't have a remake it might as well not exist anymore and be lost media

I mean that fucking game has been sold to the masses 3 fucking times already(OG release, WiiU version, Switch Version) and each one has gotten better performance then every time. Hell if you play the Switch 1 version as it is on the Switch 2 it is also just more stable then playing it on an OG Switch. Plus theres nothing outdated about it aside from the shitty still cutscenes but fucking Yakuza/Like A Dragon still does that and no one fucking cares. Theres nothing about the OG Bayonetta that needs touching up, and theres not even a scenario like the MGS3 Remake where the visuals are gonna be so realistic you can see the pores on the skin(I also wouldnt want that either).
Hell it be less insulting to remake fucking 3 and make it not such a shitty fucking game with a shitty ripoff Nero. Or do another loli Bayonetta game but higher budget. Or a new IP that fucking Police game did well why not invest resources into that and make it the new big IP since Kamiya is gone

It needs a directors cut more than a remake, here's what I'd change
>remove or make the high amount of unskippable battle scenes skippable, like the part when the monster throws up Cereza, or in stage 1 where the ground shakes, that kind of thing
>separate isla de sol from the jeanne fight, make them different chapters
>de-jankify the more gimmicky parts like the waterboarding and highway 666
>remove durga glitch
>stage select on angel slayer
>controversially, maybe even an official verse restart, or patch out the trick that lets you main menu to restart a verse
But who am I kidding, there's no remake, there's no directors cut, I just typed all this for no reason really
