Why are they trying so hard to kill Destiny?

Because they're bitter that they started working on a game that had a dedicated fanbase and over the years the fans have had an overwhelmingly negative reaction to the "improvements" the hack teams have made to it across the board. This is why they started making Marathon, so they could make something in their true vision. They proceeded to neglect Destiny 2 both because they don't care, as they see it as a hold-over artifact title made by people so much "worse and lesser" than them, and because they want it to slowly die off to push people to their pet project. When Marathon got exposed as being complete trash, they tripled down on killing D2 out of spite.

Probably the worst campaign I've ever played. The mattermark or whatever gimmick is fucking annoying and is used in literally every mission, it does a terrible job of telling you where to go or what you need to do, Europa is just a shitty version of the Tangled Shore, they don't explain shit, literally nothing happens but a bunch of shitty melodrama around Ikora who's now voiced by fucking Debra Wilson because fuck you, gear looks lame, the light level grind is worst than it's ever been. It's a massive shit show.

Because when CoO came out you had HOPE FOR THE FUTURE at least. Plus CoO was at least an improvement over the absolute giga shitshow that was vanilla D2, even if it was the equivalent of splashing a bucket of water onto a house fire. Edge of End of Service makes every aspect of the game worse. It's Lightfall 2.0 but without the idea of the conclusion of the story being dangled in front of your eyes to keep you around.

I just want a 60 fps patch and maybe an fov slider for Destiny 1, but nu-Bungie are so obviously bitter about the legacy of the old Halo Bungie guys that they want it to slide completely into irrelevancy by turning every other established character gay and retconning as much as possible from it
