Yeah there is that but honestly, vidya has sucked since 2012 anyway. The best use of Japanese for vidya was playing mahjong on tenhou, and then mahjongsoul came out a few years later anyway.

Also to the bucket crabs: learning Japanese really isn't that hard or time consuming. One year of accelerated classes (summer for year one, the rest of the year for year 2) in university and then just practicing kanji or looking up stuff gets you fluent enough for video games. That's like five hours a day MAXIMUM of study, in and out of class.

1) Cure dolly is useless for beginners. It's more for low intermediate.

BTW if you're a beginner and need a good grammar guide, the best available is "Japanese the Manga Way". It's basically the same as Tae Kim but it's much better presented and the examples are utter nonsense like Tae Kim's are.
