Unironically the main story is much superior to the side quests which is not a compliment.

My only gripe with Fallout 4 is the Nuka-world DLC. Post DLC content has you raiding the Commonwealth with nuke raiders, but doesn't give the option to complete the main quest with them. Feels pointless

Modding in this game is somehow more unstable than skyrim

I've been a Fallout 4 hater since day one. I finally gave it another shot this year, with hundreds of mods. I've had a lot of fun with it, but its awful flaws are still there. It's completely lacking in any regard that makes a Fallout game good, which detracts from the experience.

Game has dogshit aesthetics and zero atmosphere. The ass graphics of Fallout 3 and NV add to the post apocalyptic atmosphere.

The weapons and weapon system is complete dogshit Legendary weapons used to be meaningful and unique rewards now it's just kill random radroach with star in it's name level 4, get double barrel with infinite clipazine and have zero reason to ever switch.

Mission 1 walk around in power armor minigunning a zillion enemies including deathclaws is genuinely the most off-putting misunderstanding of what makes a game good I have ever experienced in my entire life

FO4 is retarded because canonically there's different gangs of raiders, they all have different names and leaders.
But ingame they're all just labelled 'raider', you can't join any of them, and they never fight one another.
You can walk into a raider fighting-cage area with the rules "NO FIGHTING OUTSIDE THE CAGE" scrawled on a blackboard, and they still shoot you on sight.

Don't forget how some of the legendary items actually break the game. And I'm not saying like their OP, I'm saying it breaks the game. Like any of the cloak armor pieces also turn your pipboy invisible so you can't fuckin use it. It activates whenever you stand still so it also happens to trigger the second you look at the pipboy making navigation of the menus impossible so you can't even take the damn thing off
