Hello, I have a credible source who has given me info on 2 directs both planned for the 2nd week of September, a general nintendo direct and a mario 40th anniversary direct. I have info on both of these directs which I plan to share.

The general direct is planned for the 9th of September and will last about 50 minutes:

> the direct will open with a trailer on Metriod prime 4 which will show off even more gameplay and a release window of December

> After the Metriod Prime 4 trailer they will transition into a Metriod prime 2 and 3 remaster reveal with them both being available for purchase immediately after the direct

> they will then move on from metriod to a segement where they mention they plan to continue support for the Nintendo switch 1 for the foreseeable future on select releases noting that games in the 1st half of the direct will be compatible on both switch 1 and 2

> after that they move on to Rythem Heaven which will have a February launch Window

> Then they will show Tomodachi Life 2 having a brief over view on the game and expanded mechanics from the original game with a January launch window

> Next they will show off 2 ports both with a release window of later this year, Yoshi's woolly world and Kirby planet robo bot

> Next they will show another Pokemon Legends ZA trailer showing off a new Mega Evolution for Primeape

> they will end the switch 1 segment with a tease of a new Ninten dogs + cats game scheduled for 2026

> After that they will move onto the switch 2 exclusive announcements starting off with the next wave of switch 2 upgrades which will include Pikmin 4, Xenoblade 3, Emio Famicon Detective Club and Nintendo Switch Sports along side a selection of free upgrades

> Next they move onto a trailer for a Duskbloods trailer where they will show game play and a release window of March 2026

> Then they move onto a new IP called Cave-in, an MMO centred around collaboration and building with the environment

> After that they move onto some 3rd party announcements where we get see a few more ports coming to switch 2, namely GTA 5, Red Dead Redemption 2, the Dead Space remake, Metephor and TEKKEN 8

> They also show off Elden Ring again which has a release date of October 8th

> After that they talk on their growing relationship with Microsoft and Xbox gaming mentioning 3 planned ports for the Nintendo switch 2 (Phyconauts 2, Doom: the dark ages and Hellblade 2) alongside confirmation of call of duty black ops 7 launching on switch 2


> They will next do a short trailer for age of imprisonment with a 2026 release window

> Next they go onto mention how its Mario's 40th anniversary and that its a big deal but unfortunately they don't have anything to share at this direct before revealing the 40th mario anniversary direct for the 12th of September

> They will end the direct with the reveal of a remake of Kid Icarus Uprising developed by Bandai Namco with a release window of 2026, they will mention how you can use traditional controls and mouse controls on switch 2

The Mario Direct will be on the 12th of September and is about 30 minutes

> the 1st announcement in the direct will show a trailer for Mario run which wil get a switch 1 and 2 port but will be free for Nintnedo expansion pass members which will be available immediately after the direct

> Nintendo will note how they realized they could do something very special for Mario's 40th anniversary before revealing a new super mario bros collection (New super Mario bros DS, Wii and 2) noting this is the 1st time every main line 2D mario has been available on 1 platform


> they then announce mario 3D all stars 2 consisting of galaxy 2, 3D Land and 64 DS alongside a re release of 3D all stars 1 making note that this is also the 1st time every 3D main line mario has been avalible on 1 platform

> they next announce the 2 next gamecube online titles, mario sunshine releasing directly after the showcase and luigis mansion releasing in October

> then they show a trailer for the mario movie 2 which will end by revealing a talking Yoshi

> Next they will announce switch 2 versions of Mario Wonder which will introduce a couple new worlds and 4 new characters all with unique play styles (Wario, Waluigi, Pauline and Rosalina) specifically displaying how Wario plays like he does in Wario plays akin to his appearance in Wario Land and how Rosalina can spin in the air like Galaxy

> Next they will show off Mario Kart world announcing a free update introducing new characters from Donkey Kong (Diddy Kong, Funky Kong, Dixie's Kong, King K Rool, Void Kong, Poppy Kong and Grumpy Kong) alongside new outfits for Donkey Kong and Pauline with promises of more updated down the road

> Next they show a quick teaser for a new mario game with a completely open world, they mention they tested the idea out with browsers fury, it was a 2026 release window

> the direct ends with a new 2D mario announcement which is made in collaboration with Sonic team as we see Mario and Sonic standing next to each other with a release window of December
