As a moderate, I say all hackers should be burned alive. Not like, tied to the stake and burned, the smoke would suffocate them too quickly. But like, tied to a ladder and lowered onto the fire belly-first burned. I think this is a morally sound, and well-adjusted response that takes into consideration our humanist values. They didn't bother with any sort of actual cheat detection. All the anticheat does, pretty much, is check to see if you're in secureboot. The thing is, they usually do spend hundreds of hours practicing. They have receipts, so to speak. But the improvements in skill level off, and their natural limits become clear. So they start cheating to catch up with where they believe they rightfully belong. As if they expect to cross some barrier and become superhuman just by practicing enough and they're only on a temporary plateau. Eventually they'll be as good as the cheats.
