I was gonna say Silent Hill because I've been a good boy™, but the other Anons are correct when they say insinuate Silent Hill will pull things "out of me" that might actually be worse than Zombies. Silent Hill has the advantage that it's fundamentally 'meant' to be solved and overcome, but I don't actually know what my biggest personal guilt or trauma is and the idea that it'll find some unknown and cook something up extra spicy just for me is actually pretty terrifying.

I don't think Laura is the only person to ever see the normal version of Silent hill anon. Almost everyone has some form of personal trauma and many people have been there and not been personally dragged into some hell by the town. Are you saying of the 30000 implied normal residents not one of them is a weirdo or deviant or has some guilt about something? If we accept Downpour as canon, it can be assumed that while the town might not want/care if you overcome your trauma, it gives you infinite chances to do so through loops (I am not going to touch the SH2R loop shit because I think it is bullshit). Raccoon city is easy if you played the games. The only BOW you would see as a normal civ are lickers and only if you fuck up and stay too long. All the BOWs are rushing to the police department and only care about STARS. So you just need to stay the fuck away from RPD. Another little known fact is that the US military has already successfully quarantined the entire city by the time Leon/Claire breaks through the barricade. You just need to run to the exit

Neither, I would listen to what they have to say which is what no one did.

If I have the same magic immunity to the virus that the RE protagonists have then I'd probably risk Racoon City. If I'm not trying to solve anything or take down Umbrella and am just interested in getting the fuck out of there I could probably outrun any standard zombie and might be able to take out an isolated dog or whatever.
If I don't have immunity then I'm fucked since in all likelyhood I'll be turned into a zombie without even knowing what got me. A mosquito or some scratch from walking through brambles or accidentally scraping myself crawling over a fence or whatever would be way more likely to kill me than a zombie.

I think Silent Hill is pretty fucked too but it is at least a collection of entities. that can theoretically be avoided or fought. Easier to deal with macro threats than a disease/plague.
