Im really curious what the lore in Deadlock is gonna be like with the Friends of Humanity. From what we can tell, they're a pro human organization thats radicalizing people, and is currently in New York, rallying to stop America from sending foreign aid to a demon country (Wonder what that reminds me of).

Vindicatas whole character is about how much she hates them, and is killing their members, while some other characters talk about disliking them.

In a world like Deadlock, where we see alot of these demons and non humans are evil, or and alot are ex criminals, it sounds pretty reasonable to be prohuman

Im curious if itll be like Xmen, where the humans have a prefectly good reason to be wary of mutants, but instead of there being subtly, they instead make every member of an anti mutant group, completely evil and awful, and gloss over all of the complexities that exist.


Hoping they include some interesting characters from this group, like some of its leaders, and members, maybe even non humans, that some of the other members have taken in saying, "hey my wolfdemon girlfriend isnt like all the others!"

We see enough that aren't though which is why the argument falls flat. Unilaterally saying 'every non-human should not be allowed' is both stupid and dangerous given that humanity doesn't really have the bite to back up their bark against the real heavy hitters.
There just needs to be a 0 tolerance immediate execution/exile for anyone (humans included) who fuck around and cause significant harm/damage. Much like immigration today, foreigners who wish to immigrate to the USA ought to be able to prove their value or worth and demonstrate that they will actively improve the USA by being a part of it.

that can be true, but if we want conflict, we should have different organizations with different beliefs, more radical than you in different directions. Some people might be completely anti nonhumans, after vampires killed their whole village, which you might think is wrong, but they're emotions and experiences are overloading logic there

Vindicta has a beef with them because she was literally burnt at a stake under questionable accusations.
Talon has a beef with them because they killed his son and his entire family (children included) because Talon's daughter in law was half-ixian.
There's very little leeway for questioning morality in here, the Friends of Humanity are clearly a group of deranged, absurdly evil people, if you want an organization with a more reasonable approach there's the Baxter Society which hunts down non-humans that have been proven to be dangerous to society but has no issue with those that don't cause problems.
