I love immersive gameplay. I want a complex wanted system that forces me to lay low. I enjoy RDR 2 allowing the player to spontaneously rob stores and trains while in free roam. I think GTA VI should do something similar, but kick it up a notch by making you feel like a wanted man. Of course the money needs to feel useful in order for it to work. For that, we should be able to buy cool cars, weapons, houses, player customizations, and bodyguards.

Believe it. TT forced the delay right after watching Concord, Immortals, XDefiant, Veilguard, Dustborn, and a dozen smaller games flop spectaculary hard. Watching Sony eat a $400mm loss and Ubisoft unable to keep an F2P online shooter alive was certainly sobering. Since then we've had Avowed, Dark Ages and a few others. 20 hours of randomly generated fetch/escort/race/gunfight quests, 10 hours of highly curated and on-rails movie story gameplay that is just fetch/escort/race/gunfight quests with cinematics in between. Everyone dropping single player when they realize it's co-op and a story made for instragram couples rather than gamers. Then it'll be a year of spamming social media with "look what I did in GTAO", trying to recapture the magic of V. Tons of people will buy it but never finish it.

It will be even more sterile and inoffensive than IV and V. Story will end up as some retarded and convoluted Fast and Furious 15 spectacle that doesn't express anything interesting about the dismal state of the US. GTA IV and V had NPCs that mostly ignored each other and were more subdued compared to the previous generation

Now when I think about it more here are some more
Missions are a bit more freeform you can for example finish the campaign without killing anyone
The driving and shooting is a lot more like gta4
Neither of the protagonists betray each other but in a bad ending both of them die and you control someone else to avenge them in the final stretch
The map has a lot more interiors
Female character(Lucia)is regarded as a breath of fresh air for the series and is the most played protagonist
Didn't watched the series but there's at least one Barry reference (one of the characters is voiced by Stephen root who's in Barry)

the only way I consider buying GTA would be if it had Mercenaries level of destruction. Doesn't even have to be super realistic, just being able to flatten whole blocks. But they'd never do that because it could fuck with progression.
