picked up Bloodborne again.
The atmosphere is amazing, but it feels surprisingly easy after Sekiro. Does it get harder?

I played it like 6 years ago. I didn't even manage to find the Cleric Beast and went straight to fight Gascoigne. But maybe its because I was drunk.

Bloodborne still has the hardest content [NG+ cycles dont count]

Depth 5 Chalice Dungeons with Fetid, Rotten and Cursed Rituals are the hardest thing ever to exist in Soulsborne. I hope you aren't emulating, the emu version kinda sucks because they didn't make new chalice servers.

BB has an extremely strange reverse difficulty curve. The start of the game is absurdly brutal until you learn how everything works, but once you get it most of the mandatory parts of the game become easier as you go along, just with difficulty spikes for engaging with optional content.

That's the Curse ritual. It cuts your HP in half and you have to complete 3 curse ritual dungeons to get to the Queen. FRC Depth 5 is dungeons scaled to the same level as the Queen's chalice but also with

FRC dungeons can be absolute CBT

This can exist in an FRC dungeon and this is just the boss fight, some of the dungeon layouts are absurd. Spelunking was the most fun I've ever had with Soulsborne.

I'm also mostly referring to the "Root" Ritual chalices which are extremely varied. FRC Depth 5 Root is yet unsurpassed. Depth 5 Nightreign might come close or beat it though if the datamines are to be believed.

I just started dark souls 2 for the first time yesterday, I’m playing vanilla and the Pursuer is wrecking my shit. I hate that my max HP gets fucked every time I die. And I’m dying a lot right now.

I've picked it up and i can't decide what build i want to do. I keep going back between whatever the direction of the saw cleaver builds are or some threaded cane build. Except i don't ever want to settle on these specific weapons either. I want to try them all, but that means i have to know what points to invest in before getting to the part of the game where i can pick up the weapon. And I'm in the hunters dream right now and can't decide what to spend my Blood Echoes on since i defeated the Cleric Beast and should spend those Blood Echoes. Maybe i should just keep putting it into vitality because that's something you can never waste points on to a specific degree i guess. I kind of dislike that about From Software games still push you into planning your build ahead of time for optimal stats even if you don't know what weapon you'll truly like until you get it. There's less room for experimentation if you waste stats in fields you don't need it in. Only the origin class doesn't matter, eventually it all matters. Maybe I'm just overthinking it.

Can any anons in thread reccomend builds to me that shows off the best of Bloodbornes combat? like that really makes it stick out from anything in Dark Souls? obviously it's different at face value. Just looking for suggestions.

The failsafe for this is the ring you can get from the other route which limits hollowing to 75% instead of 50%, but if you're having trouble with just Pursuer you might have trouble getting to that too
