>endless customization settings

>beautiful intuitive interface
>you need to run the game first to get access to the emulator settings
>no core-specific gamepad image for button binding, all you get is button nams and nobody tells you this shit uses supernintendo layout with inverted face buttons

Console
>put disc in
>play

PC poor loser
>jumps through a million hoops of a sterile ugly autistic UI to try to emulate something that takes no effort of the original and somehow have a worse experience in the end

>entries on left are visible despite not needing to be
>entries on right are bloated
>light grey text on grey background
It's not only the worst UI I've seen this month, but it was obviously made by someone who doesn't know what a tooltip or expanding menu is.
Anonymous No.719084473 [Report]
I am once again complaining about this being a "reference" frontend for libretro products and of ALL the shit these no documentation for menu driver having fuckers decided to crap out they decided to do the switch's settings menu.
NOT LIKE, THE ACTUAL FUCKING SWITCH HOME UI
THE FUCKING SETTINGS MENU.

It's worse than you think, this is the settings menu for the switch.
Anonymous No.719084825 [Report]
It sure looks like one of the interfaces that has been made ever

>doesn't download the emulators individually
Are zoomers genuinely this retarded?

I am so glad I learned about computers when I was 13 years old to play games like WoW and HL2 in the soulful Windows XP era so everything today is easy as fuck.
It's 100x easier today to learn about computers, but it's probably difficult for zoomers to wrap their heads around a YouTube video, especially after goofing off for their last years of highschool at home milking covid.

retroarch looks like total fucking garbage but I am willing to pay that price if it means having no input lag whatsoever

I can stream it on my steam deck but that's kind of all it's good for. The PS2 emulator sucks dick.

How comes I played the most demanding games on it 15 years ago on core2duo, and people constantly whine that it's bad now?
Anonymous No.719086786 [Report]

1. PCSX2 for retroarch isn't PCSX2 standalone
2. PCSX2 used to be a bunch of hacks cobbled together, when the emulator got unfucked and actually tried to replicate how the original hardware functions it gained a lot of accuracy at the expense of performance getting worse in some cases

>beautiful intuitive interface
not even close. the UI is so bad I will use anything that isn't retroarch even if it means I have a different executable for each one. not much different from "cores" lmfao.
Anonymous No.719086917 [Report]
The problem with RetroArch is that 99% of cores are outdated compared to standalone.
