It never made sense, their appeal is their waifus/husbandos not mascots

I feel like this might be a minigame or something. Would be cool if they just release smaller non-gacha games regularly. Didn't they have a Stardew Valley clone in development or something?

>gacha
>autobattler chess
eh
i guess i'll just grab roco kingdom instead

desu hoyo seems to generate more gossip and drama from their characters
they even dropped the ball hard on zzz even though it had something unique going for it in the entire gacha market
i still don't know why they didn't capitalize on bangboos when they are infinitely more likeable than some of their characters

they have two casual games: one's a genshin-spinoff similar to animal crossing (petit planet or astaweave haven, rumored to be revealed next month), other is likely an mmo social game with multiplayer focus (pic)

>Build up a dedicated fanbase that will play whatever the company puts out
>Release regular small experimental passion project games
>Playerbase tries it and gives feedback
>Really popular games get more development support
Seems like a good dev strategy. Surprised more big companies don't do this instead of releasing massive gambles that kill their company if they fail
