Dyson Sphere Program
>is the best in the genre with a 5 person dev team in you're path

I'm white good looking and 6'4 and I have no problem kneeling to chinese gods. I guarantee you 99% of you are inferior to me and should thus have even less of a problem with it.

Chinese century ahead, started with this game.

I'll believe it when I see it. By which I mean when it actually releases. But I am excited for that day. Have this on my wishlist. In the meantime, Chinks haven't made a good game.

Wym? This isn't finished? I have 180ish hours AFTER the combat update and I never even noticed that lmao

Yeah, it's on Early Access, bro. I never buy Early Access games. Glad to hear that it's supposedly already great. Like I said, I look forward to playing it when it's properly out.

It's a good game. There is a good multiplayer mod for it as well https://thunderstore.io/c/dyson-sphere-program/p/nebula/NebulaMultiplayerMod/

I appreciate that they post news where they go into extremely technical details about stuff like engine optimization, with code examples and such.

Love this game, but I am not a fan that in mid game you just spam logistic towers. There is no proper space transport infrastructure like in Factorio Space Age

Autist nerds making videogames will forEVER be the golden standard. No matter the reception theyre quality made 10/10 times. Love seeing them get the success they deserve.

140+ hours average playtime says a lot methinks. My desktop wallpaper is a SC from the game for 2 years now. It just makes me feel giddy to see my lil pretty factory

Interstellar towers you mean? Set supply set demand and make sure you supply warp drives, why complicate unnecessarily? I think its elegant.
Interstellars at the poles, logistics at the equators for local stuff

Did they finish the space combat?

Idk about completed, space combat? Sure, its kinda barebones.
planetary? Perfectly servicable.
I like edging the dark fog and farming them for loot, with the missile guidance system you csn strike anywhere from anywhere

What the fuck have the devs even been doing lately? Aside from an optimization patch, there hasn't been a major update in over a year

Last i heard about it, you couldn't permanently stop the chucklefucks because they would just sit in space and regen so i never bothered with the combat update.

They were rewriting their code because it couldn't handle all of the garbage they were adding in with the combat.

What are some other good factory games?
Captain of Industry Shapez and Mindustry were pretty fun
Riftbreakers and Foundry and mid
Satisfactory was trash

I wouldn't say the best, but it's certainly a really good factory automation game.
Easily worthy of the podium alongside Factorio and Satisfactory.

riftbreaker is a tower defense game, not a factory game
theres nothing factory about it
Anonymous No.719092541 >>719094940
I tried playing this, I didn't really like it. The thing I really hated the most was the uneven building surface as you get near the poles, which causes your blueprints to fuck up and not work. Basically the entire gimmick of the game is dumb, even though the actual factory part is fine.

If only they'd ever finish combat the game would be complete.

Sorry, Chang *ehm* I mean Chad, but white people still have the best autism simulator.
Also your game's abbreviation is DSP, that's negative points for you.

Early access is just a label, the game already has more content than most full releases.

I kidn't you, I can't into factorio because i find it ridiculous you have such technology as robotic arms at the same time as stone smelters and before circuit boards, this bothers me so much I can't play the game
DSP has single axis robots, much more convincing.
On the other hand, I enjoy extinguishing real organic life in factorio much more than I do the robots of DSP, just not the same feeling of "yes, I am polluting your planet and will strip it bare and kill millions of you" which is mostly what keeps me playing factorio.
Ultimately what I dislike about both is the macguffin bottleneck in the form of "make 1 000 000 X colored Y to unlock Z"
I think that science logic should be sth like:
Circuit board unlocked, now you can unlock XYZ which logically follows circuit board, the resource is time, not different colored macguffins which are honestly just filler to produce.
Need faster research on circuit boards? Make more labs + circuit boards
This is the logic my game will use in these regards

you're a fucking moron
the poles are really good for solar panels and sphere launchers, since they can both work 24/7

Nah afaik you can wipe them out. They have their own AI and try to expand to new systems and actually obtain resources from planets, so if you go find and kill every single hive in your save file then they'll be dead forever, since they don't just appear out of thin air.
Anonymous No.719095191
>>719094943
When i heard about it it was very early on the update and some anons said that the hives had a central core that was completely invincible and would always reform, and there was some sort of cheese to brick them, and since then i never came back expecting that the Final solution(TM) would be added.
Nice to know they can fuck off now tho

There's only a few. Factorio obviously, DSP for slightly simpler production but cool space travel, and Shapez 2 for pure belt autism floating in a void with nothing to distract you. These are really the three main ones I'd call pure factory games and which are worth playing. Captain of Industry is a kind of hybrid that's slightly more colony-ish, but still cool; if you liked it, then Workers and Resources has a few more citybuilder/colony elements but is still a very fun factory/production game.
Mindustry is a tower defense hybrid that I personally thought got tedious over time but if you liked it then cool. It's the only one of its kind, though.

So tl;dr you basically got them all already but give W&R a try.

The issue isn't volume of content, it's the potential for the game to completely change in a negative way because it isn't finalized. Yes, this applies to anything live service or frequently patched, but moreso to Early Access.
