I think this is accurate. I personally love the games, they're really pretty and the gameplay is extremely fun. The worldbuilding is good too.

But I don't know a single person IRL who has ever played it, and whenever we have threads here once in a blue moon about them they don't last very long. It's also one of those games where there really isn't a lot to talk about unless you get into the Coil autism of builds. The selling point is literally just open world robot dinosaur hunting with good gameplay.

Only somewhat in the first game.

The actual story being such abysmal dogshit probably affects the game like that, people buy it because it's one of the 10 AAA first party games sony puts out in a generation but there's no intresting shit to talk about, pretty graphics, servisable gameplay with ubislop checklist open world structure and, again, zero intrrdting characters or plotlines.
