I'm playing Rebirth right now. I'm on chapter 10 or 11. The Zack scenes have been a lot of my favorite content and I had it spoiled for my that Biggs dies in this game. WTF was the point of keeping him alive (and giving him a slight new costume that looks really good) in Remake and hype up finding a role in this game just to kill him?!

They didnt change it, it is a different approach. The scene is written that way because we are seeing everything through cloud eyes and what truly happened is a plot point.

This scene where Aerith meets Zack's parents and she is reminded of her feelings for him is also really interesting. Cloud even asks Aerith if she still has feelings for him. She can't deny she does. This is a much more emotionally complex conversation than what was explored with Aerith, Zack and Cloud in the original game. I was really surprised this was in the game. Sorry, Cloud fans. Cloud is a side dish for Aerith while Zack is unavailable for her.

Just like Biggs, just like the time ghosts, just like just like all the tacked on side characters. it all fizzles out to disappointing, unsatisfying garbage or is forgotten entirely and actively ruins the story, making it even worse than mangled, plothole riddled the pile of shit it already is.

According to shills part 2 was where all the payoff for the multiverse garbage would take place.. instead the plot turned into even more of an idiotic trashfire.
then they moved the goal posts to part 3. and when part 3 is a juvenile, badly written, deeply unsatisfying pile of shit, they'll move the goal posts to what ever shitty mobile spin offs and nonsensical lore books no one reads come next.
