I'm going to make a prediction you all will think is stupid.
Given the popularity of let's plays, in the future games will have a mode where they play themselves, and all the player does is watch.
AI porn is pretty sweet so I actually am not that bothered by this. You guys just poo-poo and cry and piss yourselves about everything, when really, this will just create more options for you to enjoy.

I don't watch let's plays but I thought the reason people watch them is because they have a parasocial relationship with whoever is actually playing and streaming/recording it.
Does that translate to AI? Do you think people will have AI play games for them while they talk to it?
>>719099432
yes I do.
I can see it already >I like this mode a lot because I'm in it for the story and atmosphere and i'm not good at games so this let's me """finish""" every game i buy
and then if you attack that (and people will) they will say >how does this affect you? just play it normally if you don't like it
>>719098058 (OP) >fake fps >fake resolution >now fake pixels >still ask 4 digits for a gpu and 80 for a game
this industry deserve only one thing, a fucking NUKE
>>719098915
the popularity of lets plays comes from the popularity of the person playing
like there's gameplay no commentary videos, people could watch those, but they instead to watch people like jerma or something
because the game is just on the side and the focus is on the player

My guess is it's literal dudes in their 50s that genuinely don't understand society today but are still autistic nerds playing video games.
>>719099389 >AI porn is pretty sweet so I actually am not that bothered by this
No matter how horny i am, i just cant crank to that shit, idk if im just not that far gone yet
>>719100268
I'm not sure. There are comments, right? So maybe it's that. Maybe people feel part of some sort of community. I guess it's not that different from coming here and making a thread about a game you just played. But I think the fact that everyone has experienced the same thing does make a difference. There's also the broader social context. I watched all of Game of Thrones even though I started disliking it by the second season. But everyone else was watching it so I felt like I had to keep watching to not feel left out.

It's pure denial and desperation because people are finally starting to realize that AI is just another bubble so they must scam even harder to squeeze every last shekel before the bubble bursts
AI porn could be great. Imagine vr with any woman you want created by AI, even celebrities. You could buy a fuck doll, and not even an expensive one, your senses will tell you you're fucking a woman who looks identical to Sydney Sweeney.
>>719101082
This, the AI that these fags push (not the one that's actually helping in medicine and computer science) has only been used for third world scams, shitty online stores, and indian shovelware. What do they have to show for after years of shilling this? Uncanny valley porn? Artstation fodder? Facebook tier memes?
i do not want AI generated games, i want something interesting and original designed by someone following limitations
if i have to AI generate my own game, suddenly it is competing with my own imagination and it will never win that fight
>>719101302 >Sydney Sweeney.
disgusting >>719101563
yeah the world is grim, i like seeing what people can create, this kiked future of everything being automated and computer generated is depressing and unimaginative, culturally bankrupt
>>719101760
Didn't they already announce that 95% of companies pushing this shit are losing money? All of them are betting all they have on AGI, and if that shit doesn't pay off ALL of us will feel the bubble bursting
>>719098058 (OP)
And this is bad because?
Why pay troons thousands of dollars to design unoptimized meshes and textures when AI can do that shit for you for way cheaper?
That allows devs to spend their money on more important shit like shilling their games on /v/.
>>719101315
I gotta say, as a dev and having used chat GPT a little, its shit the bed at anything more complex than making an HTML page.
As far as I know, AI should never have been made public.
>>719101709
I'd rather have AI reproduce that Christina Aguilera video in VR where she's dressed like a prostitute and I walk in there and fuck her in the ass while she calls me daddy
>>719098058 (OP) >We can't make our shader cores be faster, so instead we'll put the useless tensor cores to use and basically invent the game on the go
It's pretty sad if you think about it...
>>719108025
Has nothing to do with that but rather how math and rendering works, unlike traditional rendering which needs finite outputs AI rendering works on estimates which is why it has issues with consistency and will never render two exact frames, the computing cost its way less though so if people were ok and embraced the inconsistencies that come with AI rendering you would get the graphical leap equal to what happen from the 2000s to the 2010s again, at the cost of artist being able to render each scene exactly how they want though so the artistic cost will be heavy and you still have to make sure the inconsistencies are minor
>>719100256
Real time and dynamic rendering is the future, you dont want games to be static experience but rather an alive world and only AI can do it and if you have to experience the AI slop age until we get there it will be worth it
