Bethesda is potentially working on adding a supercruise mode for space travel so you'll have the option of going from planet to planet/system to system 'on foot' if you so wish, no word on seamless orbit to surface yet but I wouldn't be surprised if they add that too

Might see further improvements to planetside traversal too, which they already laid the groundwork for with the vehicle update by expanding the max size of the generated 'landing zone' map
The glacial pace of major patches has been concerning but they are clearly cooking up big things
