do like me and spent 50 hours in character select screen and extra 20 playing till grove to realize i'm too dumb to pick a class harder than Barbarian and finally stick to it for the rest of the game.
just make sure you are comfortable with what you see and stick with it

You only have like 3 options. Paladin, Warlock or Sorcerer. Those have charisma as their main stat, and you usually want charisma for your partyleader so you can do speech checks.

I never ever have this problem because I always just pick the melee class. If there are more than one melee classes, I go for huge weapons and big damage over defense.
Picking a class is often as simple as:
If(there is barbarian) {
Pick barbarian
}
else() {
Pick warrior or fighter
}

The only correct answer for this cringe game is drow durge being as cartoonishly evil as possible because that's the only fun to be had.
