I just do generalized text adventure cards and do long running adventures with lots of characters and worldbuilding(and sex). I have it play as a d&d dungeon master and keep a character sheet open, rolling for my actions and getting gold and xp and equipment and everything. Works surprisingly well

I should actually continue my most recent BG3 run but I'm at the adamantine forge and I've been feeling too lazy to kill the golem and make some armor. I saved Sazza, banged Lae'zel, broke up with her, banged Mizora, saved Ravenguard, freed Orpheus, sacrificed myself into an illithid, killed the brain, watched Lae'zel fly off, then killed myself because i was a dirty GHAIK and should die a hero. I'm not making balduran's mistake.
Now I want to do a resist durge char and actually recruit Karlach so she can become a squid instead so I can full romance Lae'zel without being a dirty GHAIK

I wish there were more RPG companions that actually cause problems for you just from having them around. Like it would be cool if actually having a companion like a nasty little gobbo or an Ogre following you around caused people to trust and welcome you less, or even make some people straight up not let you into places with them.
