What are some good third party controllers with picrel s/x d-pad, other than vader (since 5th is not out yet)? How come this s/x d-pad is not more popular among chink brands, I don't think 8bitdo or gamesir has any models with this style d-pad on xbox or ps style layout, 8bit only has that old sega gamepad. I'd love to see more brands do this style of dpad

I think 8Bitdo is the only brand that doesn't have at least one offering with a SeX d-pad, it's the most common third party design there is.

S/X style d-pad is cool af, but problem I have that too many of the controllers that has one either screams "IM XBOX CONTROLLER", or it otherwise looks a bit cheap imo. Something like cyclone 2, while it has the grip shape of xbox controller, to me seems to be much more subtler controller, and it's a shame it doesn't have the S/X D-pad. Also I'm not sure if they exist yet, but for the lulz, would be fun to see this d-pad on a PS style chink controller as well

I actually don't know. it must be some kind of aversion to 1-to-1 design of xbox controller. Like it's ok if a controller looks a little bit like xbox controller, but they must not look too much imo
