Switch 2 is Nintendo’s Atari 5200 moment
The first Switch was their NES moment -- total reset, everyone bought one.
But instead of creating a Super Nintendo Switch (SNS), they've given us the “Switch 2.”

Clumsy name, awkward two USB-C setup, and specs that already look mid.
It’s not a disaster, but it feels like a half-step -- the same trap Atari fell into with the 5200, coasting on the brand instead of pushing technology.

I wouldn't get one even if it was free.

Switch 2 is their ultimate console moment. Switch 2 is the pinnacle of Nintendo design. They've gone from the Famicom that had controller that docked to the side of the console, and the game cartridges you put into the console, to the Switch where the controllers still do that, and the console itself goes into the dock like it itself is a cartridge. This thing is a game console for the TV, and a handheld for taking with you on the go. Try it out and you will experience Nintendo Magic.

>NES -> SNES generational leap.
>Switch -> Switch 2 should’ve been that.

Instead it’s like 2600 -> 5200 energy: awkward middle child nobody asked for.

They could’ve gone full Apple.
$800 “Super Switch” with OLED standard, DLSS, drift-proof Joy-Con, 4K dock.
People would’ve lined up like it was an iPad 2.
Instead, we get a gimmicky half-step.
