5700x. The 3D one never went down to $100 before the scalpers discovered it. Some prebuilts pair this one with the 9070 xt. Don't feel like upgrading.

AMD is fine but you get more stuttering and random issues, but overall is fine.
Intel is more stable but 13 and 14th gen are garbage and will die fast, newer one is good and stable but slower than latest AMD chips.

I have a i9-9900k. It fucking blows. Gotta pretty much build a new computer just to upgrade the CPU. Gonna work my ass off so I can do that. I hate the idea of upgrading during the late stage of a generation, but fuck it. Gonna go for a 9950x3D. If the 5080 super actually exists, then I'll drop some cash for that too. I've recently been playing around with a self hosted media server, but I don't think my ultrabook can handle it too well or maybe it's because the stuff is on an external hard drive. In any case, once I build the new computer, I'll use the old one to host a media server.

my ryzen 9 5950X works just fine and didn't cost a months mortgage.

been pretty comfy so far, I still need to buy a new AIO and a better case though.
