Maybe I'm the only peasant here but Windows too has been sucked completely dry of soul ever since 10 launched. The loss of all the amazing looking (and sounding) dynamic themes on the PS3/4 and 3DS hurt me the most though. Even the Wii U had a really nice menu and interactivity in my opinion.

probably not anymore. maybe ~15 years ago when they were putting out good quantities of food with their mixed boxes. I haven't been back in a long time and most of their food options can be recreated pretty easily at home. the one thing I did order from them oftentimes was their Crunchwrap but I just make those for myself at this point.
otherwise, Chipotle tends to be a superior product in my experience. but I also haven't had that in a long time so it's similarly based on old experience.

This is true for a lot of pop up fast food locations, but I'm doubtful it would work for Cracker Barrel. Their locations tend to be more rooted and long lasting, with clientele that sticks around more so than a McDonalds or a Denny's. They also trimmed down their kitschy antiques sales despite them being a big part of their brand and effectively being free profit. Overpriced rocking chairs and checkers sets won't go bad year to year, and because there's no cost to "storing" them in the front room people walk through, it's just potential revenue.

That said, it's also very likely their dumb bitch CEO and whoever came before with the idea to 'modernize' cracker barrel brought these ideas in because THEY thought it would work, and because liquidating poorly performing stores is commonplace now. But I still think it's a terrible decision and they'd make more money just keeping the old style of the stores even if the resale value goes way down.
