This was the last Ubi game I ever bought. I refused to buy another one of their games till they finished the fucking story, the DLC didn’t count at all. Fuck Ubi

I've debated playing this so many times as a PoP fan, but PoP games other than the originals are always so disappointing.

Just be aware everything in the middle of the game is a QTEfest, the final bosses are really good because each has a unique (non-combat) gimmick but getting there and the rest of the fights slowly devolve into QTEs

What i really liked about the game is the dialogue writing and the natural progression of prince and Elika's relationship. Gameplay is piss easy, but I think that was the point. Unlike the sands of time trilogy, 2008 offers a relaxing experience with extremely fluid parkour and combat. I have a really fond memories of this game, a shame that sequel didn't happen despite selling well. I think they should've named the game differently and not attach it to the PoP series.
