A) it was implemented post launch, making it clear to even the dumbest retard how unnecessary it was

Yeah but I can see who plays on xbox with the logo next to name, ps players still appear as ps players and i've not been reviving them. I do the swing smoke grenade and move back and forth rape method that used to be used.

it's the 2nd remaster of a game everyone already played. there just isn't the buzz or the playerbase there to spread awareness of the issue far and wide. helldivers 2 for example was a big deal because the enormous playerbase came together to express their distaste with the mandatory account link. I just can't see the same happening for gears.
