Using a turn to move has always been ass and rarely useful unless you were positioning your dodge tank. I'm really glad they ended up flushing that concept and just let the player move all the time during their turns now.

I think adding the O.O and XD faces was a mistake. It worked specifically for Millium because she was a quirky weirdo retard but Estelle is meant to be more grounded. Just give her normal (yet still very expressive) faces like her original portraits.

Some of the fights on Nightmare felt like a real dice roll, as someone with very little Trails experience. The one side mission where you had to fight that exploding monster on the road to the farm came down to how often its AI wanted to use the attack that caused delay. Sometimes it spammed it and it just kept getting turns ahead of Josh and Estelle.

Nightmare is "intended" as a new game+ mode, but it's doable on new game with good knowledge of the mechanics. The 'dice roll' thing can be the case even if you know what you're doing, for the harder fights.
