I'm getting really fucking sick of melee combat in games
Not even soulslike faggot, it's more like sword fatigue
So sick of bullshit super moves, instant kills, parries, strict timings where better dodge or parry or you lose, sick of games devolving into utter bullshit like how NG devolves into spamming your invincible super move, or how arcade games have a single dominant strategy
I'm sick of combat in games bros, what the fuck do I play now
Then again I expect this thread to die because /v/ literally never plays games

Any recs? I tried getting into classic Final Fantasy and couldn't stand it, but I liked XII and SoP

You could try autism simulators.
You could also try out Doom mods, which obviously have combat but it's a different style of combat from the stuff you mentit.
Or you could play Burnout Paradise.
