>find an old, obscure and dead or close to being dead online game
>try it out
>there are very few people and consequently get placed against people with 4 digit hours who have been playing for years
>get destroyed or cast out for being bad compared to them
What would you do anons? Would you spend hundreds if not thousands hours on game near its death just so you can have fun or would you just leave like most people?

the few times i tried dead games with double digit players, they were actually super helpful and happy to teach me shit, so either the game you tried has a dogshit community or you're an unlikeable cunt

There would have to be an outside reason to push you to want to learn. Like if the game is culturally important to a gaming genre you like, or if you played it as a child and have intense nostalgia for it. I can't imagine someone stumbling into a dying game and actually willingly bash their head against the wall until they can hang with the remaining autists.
