Goblin fetishists are stupid.
Goblins are literally the most pitiful creatures in fantasy games. They are nearly always just low level fodder and pose no real threat even to novice adventurers. They are always depicted as selfish and cowardly and, unlike other monster races, have no real strength or agility to make up for their stupidity.
Just fetishize any of the actually good monster races instead.
Gnolls are cool, orcs are cool, kobolds are cool, minotaurs are cool, goblins are lame.

well according to the google AI, dog-like kobolds were the earlier despiction in earlier D&D, in later editions they were changed to lizard-like, the japanese kept and popularized the dog-like versions for their side of "western" fantasy settings, the same with orcs, earlier D&D despicted them as pig-head humanoids in the illustrations, well I don't know if any of this is true but I conclude that it seems earlier D&D stuck up with the japanese more than any of the tolkien-esque despictions the rest of the western world have for their fantasy settings
