As I said I didn't beat it so I don't know the actual solution, but the ability from the ninja was actually dealing damage. Was the only thing I saw that got pops.
If you use it, it stays on screen for a long time and you can't spam it so you have to sell the ninja and rebuy it to use the ability again.
The glue is to not die in the first 5 seconds.

so I just got two 420 glues, spammed their ability and when the first parade was about to reach the end popped the 050 ninja ability. using the ability makes it unusable again. after that, there are still some stragglers and selling, rebuying and using the 050 ability does nothing, I kept spamming it and then it magically worked after a few times

I guess the whole point of these pro powers is to be a monkey money sink then.
Can't see it working out too well. The only powers I'm sure pretty much anyone uses are the farmer, a couple of cash drops to start a boss event with, and maybe a tech bot here or there, and wouldn't you know they already released the most valuable pro power.
Now if the pro of the spikes and glue unlocks the ability to place a weaker version using cash like btd4 that would be pretty based.

Honestly the biggest issue with powers is that the vast majority are just emergency buttons to pop bloons that bypass the systems in the game of progression and building a permanent defense. Portable lake and pontoon technically support this but pontoon is already obsoleted by ice and also you can just choose a map to support the towers you want instead of terraforming the existing map. Techbot and farmer are actual quality of life and are the most generally accepted by the community for this reason. And as much as the money boosts are pay to win they are probably the most used by casuals because they actually operate within the system of placing and upgrading towers for your tower defense game.

What the pro powers do is actually integrate strategy and upgrades and decision making into the power system. Making them a tower with a progression path actually integrates them into gameplay, and making them a permanent unit that stays on the map makes them feel more meaningful as an actual part of your defense.
