it's more skill than RNG on the whole, and once you play for awhile the economy doesn't matter too much but yeah it's shit for new players

I tried it again a few months ago for a couple days.
I don't think I enjoyed a single moment of the experience

rng is part of the fun. you also need skill to play it, otherwise the people at the top of ranked wouldn’t be there all the time.

I get recommended Hearthstone videos on Youtube every now and then, and the current state of play is just sad. It feels like they've powercreep'd the game so much none of the mechanics matter and it just wrapped around to playing better cards than your oponent

I booted it up a few months ago just to see how bad it is. Its literally random effect into random draw, into generate random card, with a random effect. Everything spawns shit on kill on death on enter... its an absolute clusterfuck.
Their design decision of no agency on opponents turns really did end up biting them in the ass.
