I was attempting to Bebuy some Turnips at the Grand Bazaar when the vendor, a man I have known for years, suddenly referred to me using the "They/Them" identifier. My entire farm, painstakingly built over three in-game years, immediately wilted. My cows' milk turned sour. My prized alpaca, Balthazar, spontaneously combusted from the sheer ontological confusion.

The developers have clearly forgotten the core tenets of agrarian simulation. Where is the option for "Shan't/Shan't"? I wish to be referred to only in the most refined of antiquated negations. "Shan't has a wonderful harvest this season." It's basic respect.

And the lack of a "Bebuy/Bebuying/Bebought" pronoun set is a blatant oversight that renders the central market mechanic utterly unplayable. How can I engage in commerce if the game will not correctly state "I am Bebuying this chicken, and later I will have Bebought it"?

This is a kids' game! They aren't ready for this advanced grammatical warfare. My child, who I named "Crop" for simplicity, looked at the screen and immediately grew a full beard and started quoting French postmodern philosophy. This never happened with Harvest Moon: Back to Nature.

I am attaching my DxDiag (which now lists my gender as "System32") and a screenshot of my settings menu, which has been replaced with a single, blinking question mark. I demand a patch that removes all pronouns except for "Farmer/Farmer's" and the aforementioned "Shan't" and "Bebuy" options. Until then, my cabbages and I will be on strike.
