My fucking man. The only thing I have issue with is 4's placement in the top 3. I think 4 might edge out in most cases but it probably depends on what mood I'm in. 5 being at the very bottom is appropriate.

Not a huge debate
Both are good games, but V certainly not the best in terms of story. It is a fun story to go through, but it has a lot of moments where it feels more action packed than the standard GTA stuff. IV is so fucking rich in story, I genuinely love it,
V has some neat gameplay features that make the experience better, while removing some of IV best.
LC is better than LS in terms of design
Mission design improved but at the cost of being more restrictive in V
Driving sucks in both for different reasons, V is too arcade, IV tries to be so grounded that it's baffling and tedious.

The heists were okay and they were a good carrot on a stick. Personally I was content that in V, the missions lost their needlessly try-hard quality, e.g. if you failed a mission at the last stage, you didn't have to repeat the entire fucking thing anymore. Including having to drive towards the Mission Giver, which was absolute bullshit in GTA games before V.
