Avowed was even worse than Outer Worlds.

I just did not enjoy the first one. It felt like every modern "RPG", lots of random looter shooter shit with menial, iterative upgrades, the story, just like most obsidian games, completely fell apart after the introductory planet/area, and a lot of the endgame feels undone.
I'll probably try the second cause, well, it'll be on game pass.

The first Outer Worlds wasn't interesting, most of it's systems were very barebones and the perks felt like most of them basically did nothing. The story felt like it was written by taking random TV Tropes pages and making quests out of them.

When OW came out I still had a modicum of hope for Obsidian, so I thought, this can't really be that shit, right? Something's better is coming later in the game, right? Instead I got Mk2 weapons and a planet that looked like barf, lmao.
With Avowed I expected nothing and while I didn't immediately hate it it was just really fucking boring while looking decently pretty. I just lost interest. It also doesn't help that they decided to dial up the faggotry to 11 and included another set of fictional pronouns in my native language which makes all text involving them read like it's written by some retard with downs.

Never gonna happen, it's extremely rare for a game that sucks on release to turn the opinion around, you usually need to have a decent foundation underneath, continuous patching and something to happen to peak people's interest for that to happen. Starfield is busted on every possible level you basically need to remake the game from the ground up with massive upgrades to the engine that eliminate all loadings and like a 10/10 TV show for a Starfield redemption arc to happen.

I couldn’t even finish it. I got 3/4 of the way through the game and I just bailed. It’s one of the blandest games I’ve played and the RPG elements are incredibly watered down. The gunplay is also very uninspired and seemed almost like an afterthought. As far as the “tone” of the game, for as overused as the term “Reddit” is used on this board, the first game definitely fit that stereotype.
