So... They sent her 9 months pregnant on a D-day mission and she gave birth? And no one really acknowledged it as a weird thing to happen. It was supposed be a deep thing about the battlefield.
Wtf is this Japanese writing?

No one knews that she's pregnant, not even her.
You should've question the retarded snake like scar from c-section.

Forgive me but how tf did she not know she was pregnant as a special forces operator?

Some women can go up to the third trimester or even birth before they know. They can think they're sick or something

>Wtf is this Japanese writing?
That's pretty standard for Japanese writing. They love their contrivances.

The battle of Normandy lasted three months, and it's assumed they started earlier given they were there to scout and take out artillery stations.

She could've been at Normandy for 4+ months easily. It's still stupid, but its not sending a eight months pregnant woman into battle stupid.

Was ocelot the size of a microbe or something?

It's so bad. I started the first mission, and I was hit with, "SNAKE, THE WEAPONS ARE IN YOUR BACKPACK AND YOU GET THERE BY PRESSING START AND YOU SELECT THEM WITH THE A BUTTON" dialog line

NOBODY SAYS THAT SHIT. Do it as a pop-up

She wasn't nine months pregnant, closer to 7-7½ presumably.

>>719198267
She knew, Peace Walker confirms this in one of Strangelove's briefings.
>>719198674
The mission in question specifically took place during the Invasion of Normandy (D-Day) and Adamska's (Ocelot's) official birthdate is June 6, 1944.

You really watch a cutscene like this and think the game is meant to be taken seriously ?

Botch job.
No but really, it's just Kojimbo pottery. MGS3 is emo as fuck with how much symbolism and poetry ties into the themes. I'm certainly not defending it, I hate the Prequel Trilogy for the most part.
For a pragmatic explanation, you can pretty much make up anything you want. Maybe it's two separate scars that coincidentally met? Maybe the extended portion of the scarring was a result of the injury that forced her into labor, or another injury sustained at the same time. Fuck it.

What's up with all these first time MGS retards thinking they are so smart for pointing out obviously campy plotpoints of the series.
Here's a hint zoomies, it's pretty much by design. The game takes a grounded setting and just throws anime-tier bullshit at it. Despite it's more serious notes here and there, it's meant to be taken about as seriously as a James Bond film (obvious inspiration for MGS3 btw). You look so stupid for pointing these things out, while the entire series is filled to the brim with nonsensical shit like this. Which you would have known if you had ever played an MGS title in your life.
Fucking deltafags are going to be the new nuisance, I can already tell.

Jesus christ, stop getting uppidity over a game trying to do things differently. Pathetic. Just refund and never play MGS ever again, please.

I wasn't criticizing it, I don't know much about MGS but the scar was comically big, I thought maybe there was a real explanation.
Kinda like the botch idea, it's raining shells on the beach as a doctor try to do a ceasarian section. Must be painful.

The one who did the c section was patriot's agent, not a doctor.
It's so botched up, that she could never bear a child anymore.
They immediately took the baby away for leverage.

>Ocelot was born in Normandy
>In MGS2 he says "I never trust a Frenchman"
I always liked this detail, though I'm sure it was purely coincidence

Oh I'm deeply amused by it. There were neophytes like this back when the games originally released and it was funny then as well. It's like being transported back to a slightly anachronistic version of the past.

heh.
that's neat. even if it may be just a coincidence.
