you have to use your peak brain activity hours on something productive and only then can you enjoy vidya after you've been a good goy

Video game is kind of escapism. But without something to escape from, what's the point.

No one else is replying to your thread. Try watching video game development videos instead of playing video games. What I'm saying is try my videos as an alternative.

Because things ARE getting worse. Vidya used to be a fun way to enjoy immersing yourself in a completely fictional world and/or enjoying mechanics that got the noggin joggin. But, like everything else, the left infected it, made it shit mechanically, and imported the shitty world they created into the media. There's a thread about the Dead Space remake that summarizes why it all sucks. I just want to play the complete original with no changes whatsoever except visually. Lefties decided many things needed to be changed.

Even older vidya is now difficult to enjoy because the world that existed back then no longer does. Do you know how many intuitive ideas I see back then that I wonder why we don't have now? It has become impossible to ignore the real world by escaping into vidya.
>your rent went up because lefty cock suckers wanted to fund ukraine and the covid nonsense
>stinky browns infest every corner of your world
>never knowing if someone stinky brown is going to stab/rape you
>the enshitification of everything
>can't even feel secure at your own job of 10 years
>can't even find a job in the modern era (june: 14k jobs made, 1 million layoffs)
>nobody can actually afford a home
>women are a fucking meme
And worst if all
>the faggot jannies will ban you for ever giving an honest answer

Vidya sucks because the world sucks.

It's depression, you're depressed, OP. What I do is get all of my work and responsibilities done as early as I can, then for the last few hours of the day I try to make the environment I'm in as comfortable as possible, the clothes I like to weak, my bed, the lights that look the best for me, in my personal case it's weaker and warmer ambient lights, and I just play some retro video games, it's easier to get into for me because they're often shorter and more self contained, makes them less overwhelming and a lot more manageable for me. I also like to save some time to post here while having a snack and a nice drink, it makes me happy.

Focus on what's good, what you like, turn it into a ritual you can't skip, and cherish it.

maybe learn a skill, or get better at something you're not all that good at yet.

Until niggers relearn their places, browns in general are removed for their shit, cheap labor, Europe cleansed of Jeets and Mudslimes (not Canada, fuck those smug, smarmy faggots), the job market improves, and inflation returns to pre 2021 prices (or Jerome Powell is skinned alive), and the insane asylums reopen there isn't a difference to be made.

You've let too much pessimism consume your mind and it's manifesting on the entirety of reality around you.

How? I'll answer: as far as (you) are concerned, the world only exists as you perceive it, in a first-person perspective. Everything that reaches your senses gets processed by your brain and becomes what you call "reality". This perception can, and in fact always is, affected by things like beliefs, emotions, preconceived notions, etc ("hardcoded" biology also plays a role of course, but that's beside the point). Strongly believing everything is terrible WILL make everything terrible, because you will look at the world around you and you'll only see "terrible". That is all you have programmed yourself to notice. The good is not as good anymore because you've taken "everything is terrible" to be a fact. You can't even see anything else.

TL;DR Your beliefs affect your perception of reality, and therefore, affect reality itself from your point of view. If you want reality to not be shit, reminding yourself that life can be good is a very effective idea. Something as simple as eating something nice or listening to good music can do wonders. Cardio exercise also weakens feelings of hopelessness very well (personal experience). People are different. But i'm certain you can find something that works for you, if you want to enjoy things in life again, that is. Remember that it's all a matter of how your perceptions are processed.

Couldn't be any farther from the truth. The thing i despise the most is weed. At best you could call me an autist but not a hippie.

>damage being done outside of my control
Stop caring. That's literally the entire idea of my post. You can look at these homeless junkies as a total catastrophe that proves the world is shit and not worth living in... or you can look at them as a minor inconvenience. This line:
>i never asked
Already shows somewhat of a victim mindset: "this is not fair, i don't deserve this, why is this happening to me, etc". Instead of blaming the world as if it was sentient and consciously willing to make your life miserable, you can just attribute your misfortunes to poor luck (which they mostly probably are) and move on. Seeing something ugly when you go outside might either be the end of the world or just mildly annoying. Surprisingly, willingly choosing to be miserable is not gonna make your misery any better.

I fucking love posts like these because they're so absurd and blunt about human psychology that it really helps put into perspective how fucking stupid we are. How insignificant our worries and hangups tend to be. If you want to stop being depressed you can just do push-ups until failure, or briefly pedal on a bike at max tension. Maybe take a cold shower. So many of our problems instantly solved by temporarily shocking the body, or just adding some novelty into our gay boring lives. Of course whenever these solutions are invoked there's always some guy who is like "Nyooo I tried all of these consistently for a week and I'm still le sad!" which is always a lie.

Peter Thiel, Larry Fink, and George Soros, the men most responsible for this in the past twenty years, are not leftist. They have no political ideology except profit. They fund various groups/people on the "left" and "right" to stir up culture war shit while they extract as much money from us as possible. The sad part is that cucks like you do it for free, while fags like Hasan Piker or Nick Fuentes get paid by then to do it. Sad.

sorry if you're not into this kind of thing at all, but I made a friend group to be a comfy, kind place since 4chan can be tiring sometimes. Based on your post you seem chill so if you're curious you can take a look here pastebin.com/RFk9GRmH - if someone else is reading this, it's not some exclusive and extraordinary club or anything, it's really what you make of it, just a place to post things like any other. if you like posting about games and anime you're watching you might find it okay, so even if you're not who I'm replying to feel free to check it out.
