I really couldn't care less about doing leave no trace but I imagine I'll do 24 Karat at some point. Also doesn't seem too bad (aside from low chance of it even being possible on most days) since the achievement is self contained within 2 biomes

Tropics is the hardest biome in my opinion.
Can't see shit and waiting the rain out somehow feels even worse than the snowstorm or lava tide.

As a singleplayer game, it's an easy to pick up slow-paced platformer. It's not one of those games where you can get hundreds of hours of gameplay, but there's still enough there to get your money's worth given how cheap it is.
But the multiplayer really elevates the experiences, in both mechanics and social factor.
It's like Mario Party, Minecraft, or any RTS title - you can play it alone and still have fun, but it's far better with others.

At least there's a lot of mechanics you can engage with and counter in Mesa (Throwing scorpions and dynamite, anti-heat items, picking off thorns). Alpines is just misery if you have to route outside the caves which is a good portion of the climb. Mesa tornados fucking suck though.

Yeah no that's fair, way less counterplay than the other hazards. I wish I could check which it'll be that day at least. I'm kinda hoping they'll make alt biomes for the other four (3) areas but I'd worry you'd have more of the "achievements you have to luck into even being possible" issue. Btw does anyone know what that valuable orb does?
