Virtually all of what retards attribute to CERO nowadays is actually the fault of either platform content policies or internal "ethics" committees responsible for companies self-censoring their games. Pantyshots didn't disappear because of CERO, they started disappearing because of the pressure from platforms and "global standards"/DEI policies. While they are known to give higher ratings for gore, something like that pic is likely too basic to trigger it, let alone push it to Z.

Abyss and Symphonia both have better and more unique stories than any Trails game anyways.

Abyss in particular also has better developed characters than any Trails.

I remember playing SC and cringed so hard how they tried but failed to connect each Ouroboros Enforcer with a party member, just felt like a poor man’s version of what Abyss already did with it’s party and God Generals.

Funny enough I discovered both SC and Abyss came out in the same year too, 2006.

The save has to be decrypted. There's a PS3 app that can do it for you called Apollo Save Tool, it works on RPCS3.

I cant believe they are remaking tales of the abyss with new quest new bosses new dungeons and even 2 new playable character (including Ion and his clone Florian), also more developpement about the original Ion and his hartred and cooperation with van to destroy the score, i cant wait, they are adding so much more.

Hard to do right. If there's not enough effort put into it, the romance route is just kind of there with zero impact on the narrative, at which point you may as well as not have it at all because you'll get shit for half-assing it.
If there's too much put into it, it detracts from the plot and you may end up with "pair the spares" and shit like that just to have romances everywhere, and then it's an active detriment to the entire game.

I can't keep playing Arise. I fucking hate this game. I just got to the part where the second intro starts. Apparently I just finished the good part? I hate these damage sponge bosses that can't be staggered. I hate this one dimensional cartoon character villains. I hate how you need to do sidequests to get any skill points. Alphen and Kisara are carrying this dogwater cast so hard. This dodge roll heavy combat isn't Tales. It feels like I'm playing an anime Souls game.

I'm trying to immerse myself in this story, but it's really hard to. The intro is dull, has droning music (which I guess is the point), and it's so silly how you still get the inn jingle when you sleep on the floor. Out of nowhere, this guy is the most acrobatic mother on the planet, everyone is punching armored guards with their bare fists. When you compare it to something like Symphonia, it's too fast with no tension.

The part that made me laugh is how they show the bad guy drinking from a glass and breaking it, and they don't give him lips or even animate the glass breaking. He in particular is baring his teeth the whole time, why did they do it like that? It's just comical
